Weight Loss – Results Matter – Day 2
Blog 5JAN12 – Results Matter – Day Two
A typical day for me at the beginning of a lifestyle change – a Whataburger for lunch and a home-made meal for dinner. I am concentrating on portion control, food selection and chewing my food completely. I have abstained from alcohol and all fructose types of drinks. To be perfectly honest about alcohol and fructose drinks though, I usually have one or two glasses of red wine three or four nights a week – usually late at night. I gave up fructose drinks a long time ago. I still have the occasional one or two a month, but some months I don’t have any. My biggest nemesis has been late night snacking – nuts, primarily. I have concentrated on water after dinner to relieve any urge I might have to snack. However, I have had no urges to snack.
I missed going to the gym last night do to some timing issues. I had plans of going again tonight, but got involved in tutoring algebra. As a result, very little exercise for the first two days on this lifestyle change program. The gym is higher on my priority for tomorrow. I would like to step on the scales and see my progress to date, but I will wait until Tuesday, the 10th to do my first weigh-in and measurements.
My wife and daughter and contemplating joining this program. They will let me know shortly. I bought food today for the remainder of the weekend and will have a published/planned dinner schedule out tomorrow.
